# Documenting Design

This course explores the use of documentation as a powerful tool to craft coherent and meaningful narratives about the design and development process. Rather than viewing documentation as a mere administrative task or data collection, the focus is on a narrative approach that allows students to share their creative journey, design decisions, and project stages. The learning objectives include understanding documentation in design practices, mastering documentation tools and resources, and structuring a website, particularly on Gitbook. Students will also learn to use AI as a complementary tool for enhancing documentation. The course aims to foster critical reflection on the evolution of design projects and highlight the value of documentation as a contextual narrative to be shared with fellow designers, colleagues, or any audience interested in the creative process. Through this approach, students will develop the skills to effectively and engagingly communicate their work while emphasizing the importance of the creative process.
