# Atlas Of Weak Signals

To help us identify our areas of interest and decide what we want to focus on for our projects, we were given a deck of cards called the *Atlas of Weak Signals*. This toolkit, created by Mariana Quintero, turns research on weak signals into a practical tool for exploring potential future scenarios based on today’s emerging trends. It’s a powerful exercise that helps reveal opportunities, risks, and shared visions for innovation, policy, intervention, research, and even business possibilities in the future.

As part of the Master in Design for Emergent Futures, this ongoing project gives us a structured space to navigate today’s complex landscape and address future challenges by uncovering spaces for meaningful design interventions. Below is a lecture from the *Atlas of Weak Signals* seminar, led by Jose Luis de Vicente, who directs this research.
