# First Person Perspective

The goal of this intervention was to explore the different roles of prototyping in design research, focusing on resilience, resourcefulness, and the 1PP (First-Person Perspective) iterative design methodology. The activities included reflecting on the roles of prototypes in past projects, considering how they could be integrated into future practices, and creating a prototype using scrap materials based on another colleague’s inquiry. The deliverable was to perform and document a 1PP design intervention and reflect on the various prototyping roles used in the process.

For my intervention, I created a video documenting my effort to change my daily habits by focusing on consuming products from local agriculture (km0). The video shows me shopping for locally sourced products and researching the ecological impact of each item to determine if km0 consumption truly aligns with sustainability goals. This investigation stemmed from previous research that highlighted conflicting views on the ecological benefits of km0, with some studies suggesting it can sometimes be more polluting than other options.

Through this intervention, I not only explored the practicalities of adopting km0 in my own life but also questioned its broader environmental implications, reflecting on the complex relationship between local consumption and sustainability.
